Faux Topographies emerged from a period of experimentation in the colour darkroom during which I became increasingly fascinated by the potential of cameraless light-based processes to reference and simulate the Natural landscape. Faux Topographies consists of abstract luminograms and photograms, presented alongside more traditional representational photographs, facilitating a dialogue between our real and imagined concepts of the Natural world.
